The mission of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio Probation Office is to provide services to the community, the offenders and the Court in an objective, thorough and fair manner consistent with sound correctional policies and practices. Basically, they provide pre-sentence investigations and reports on defendants convicted in Federal Court of serious crimes. These reports are primarily completed to assist the Judge in arriving at a just disposition in a criminal case. They provide supervision of offenders in the community with the equally important goals of enforcing the conditions set out by the Court, controlling risks the offenders may pose to the community and providing our clients with needed correctional treatment.

LNS gave them a new look, a new logo, and the ability to service that mission online, providing offenders with the tools and data they need for compliance, and providing the office with a central location to disseminate information.
